The Process

I break the process down into three steps:

1) Discovery:

This is the point where we decide if we are the right fit for each other. This will be a phone call where we can discuss your goals for this project. The goal here is to get a clear understanding as to what to expect and what is desired.

2) Production:

Writing and Arrangement: What’s more important than writing a song that triggers an emotion for your audience? Nothing is. Your music is where you connect to your audience. You want your songs to be the pillar of hope for someone in need, or the sound track to a road trip for a group of friends. You want your song to come on 10 years later and bring your listeners back to a different time; to trigger an emotion. What else can you truly do that with?

Recording and Production: Now that the songs are written, it’s time to track them. If you are local (or willing to travel), you can record your project in one of the state-of-the-art facilities I work out of here in Florida or in New York. Each facility has its own style and aesthetic for creativity, along with world-class equipment. If session musicians are required, I have a network of hand picked musicians that I have personally worked with on previous projects.

If you aren’t local, no problem! We can work 100% remotely. This saves A LOT on travel costs and coordination efforts and is becoming increasingly popular.

Mixing and Mastering: Having a great mix and master will directly affect the success of your project. It is the ‘ear candy’ that will keep someone listening, while the writing and production will leave them wanting more.

The general public wants to hear full bodied drums, round bass, huge guitars and focused vocals, that’s why some of the most successful albums sound that way. Furthermore, with the rising popularity of playlists, most streams will come from playlist placement, especially if you don’t have hundreds of thousands of fans waiting for your new music. The problem is, most curators and bloggers won’t even bother if your songs don’t sound professional.

3) Release:

You’ve been busting your asses on this project at this point. You want to get this thing out to the masses as soon as possible, right? Well that’s where the 1-on-1 mentorship comes in handy. Throughout our time working together, we will be discovering who your audience is. Knowing your audience is essential when it comes to marketing your project effectively. We want to put your music right in front of your defined audience so they have no choice but to find you. How? Together, we will utilize resources and tools to come up with a release plan for you to execute from the day we upload your music to the release day, and after.
